Matsuyama Castle is one of the other main attractions in Matsuyama City. From the city center, it is a short walk uphill to the castle. For those who believe only horses should sweat, there is a ropeway and chairlifts. Cherry blossom was in full bloom during my visit, and when the clouds cleared I managed to get some nice shots. (If you walk up to the castle before the chairlift opens you can even take photographs free from the crowds.)

I am starting to think it is hard to take a bad shot in Japan. Cherry blossom and pagodas – beautiful – the rock wall is wonderful.

your photos are always a joy.

    • Hi Lynne,

Great to hear from you, and glad you like the photos.

There’s are many places in Japan that aren’t picture perfect. There is still too much concrete, asphalt, overhead wiring, poor urban planning etc I just happen to be selective about what I’m photographing. I have the advantage of doing a lot of traveling during cherry blossom season, but there are great places to visit all year.

      Your turn on Lexulous 🙂
      Chris
